Cinderelly

Cinderelly, Cinderelly
Night and day it's Cinderelly...
or perhaps it's Brooklyn.
She is in love with dressing up like Cinderella. It's actually Mackenzie's dress up clothes but she is always wanting to put them on. Macky seems to be a good big sister by sharing and even helping Brookie get all decked out.

Why?

Lately Mackenzie loves to ask "Why?" She says it all the time. Here's an example of one of our recent conversations:

Macky: Mom, I don't see any dinosaurs here.
Me: There aren't any dinosaurs anymore.
Macky: Why?
Me: Because they all died.
Macky: Why?
Me: Because they got old and died.
Macky: Why?

Okay, so I'm no expert in paleontology. But, you get my point. So today, I was talking to Mackenzie about how she says "why" all the time. So here's how the conversation played out:

Mom: So, Macky, you say "why" a lot.
Macky: Why?
Mom: I don't know why. Maybe you know why.
Macky: Because I just need to. Jesus created our mouths so we can say "why."

So now you know. If you have a child who constantly asks you "why" after everything you say, just remember it's all part of the plan!

Primary and FHE ideas

Today we were substitute teachers for Mackenzie's sunbeam class. It was fun. The kids were pretty good. Macky kind of misbehaved a bit but she's usually a really good kid for her regular teachers. I guess that is why we don't have that calling. Anyway, I went online to find some stuff to help with their lesson and class. I found some really amazing sites that I want to share with anyone who might have a primary calling or just needs some good FHE ideas. Check out the following links:

Eat Naked Night

It's always "Eat Naked Night" at our house whenever we have spaghetti for dinner. All who are 3 years old or younger can strip down for a messy meal. Here's some pictures and video of what happened recently at the dinner table.
Who needs a fork, right?
Brooklyn ended up looking like a little oompa-loompa!
