100+ degrees

It was super hot earlier this week here in Vegas. Monday it was around 103 degrees. So we headed down to the water feature at our park. Mackenzie and Brooklyn are so different. Macky loves the water. Brooklyn on the other hand won't even get a drop on her. She loves bath time and the pool but when water is spraying on her, she freaks out.

"I'm not getting wet, Mom."

Still not wet but happy.

Patio Update: Almost finished!

The patio is coming along slowly but surely. That is due mostly to tax season, high mph winds that kept blowing sand in our faces and two little girls that think they are way more important than finishing this project. Which, by the way, they are.

Pump It Up!

Yesterday, I took the girls to Pump It Up. Mackenzie had so much fun. She kept going down the inflatable slides over and over and over again. I was glad that this time she could go through the obstacle course by herself without getting stuck. Last time, I had to crawl in with Brooklyn in my arms to save her. I almost got stuck myself! Brooklyn is still too little to bounce or slide (plus, she's too scared). So she hung out with her mommy.

Well Care Check-up

I took Brooklyn to the doctor's today for her 18 month well care check-up. She is officially off the weight percentile chart coming in at only 20 lbs. Mackenzie weighed that much when she was 9 months old. Brooklyn is also pretty short at a height of only 30 inches. They tested her blood and found that she did in fact have an iron deficiency. So now she gets to eat steak and lots of red meat! We are going to fatten her up!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was a wonderful Mother's Day. Abe bought me pink roses and took care of the kids all day. He made omlets, cinnamon rolls and we had fresh fruit for breakfast. He made dinner too and did the dishes as well. He's the best husband ever! I think everyday should be Mother's day!

The Higher Road....

Right now I should be posting some really fun pics from Abe's rafting trip last week. As you can see, however, there are no pictures here of his rafting adventure. That is due to Wal-Mart! See what happened is that I dropped the film off on Monday, Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, MONDAY at 11:00 a. m. to get developed. Of course, the one hour photo wasn't working (then again, nothing seems to work at the Wal-Mart on Fort Apache). So I opted for 2 day developing. I called today to see if the pictures would be there and was told to come in after 3:00 p.m. I arrived at good ol' Wally World at 4:00 p.m. I stood in line for probably 15 minutes waiting for assistance. A digital photo machine was broken and they were trying to fix it. Like I said, nothing seems to work in this Wal-mart. Myrna was the worker's name who was practically ignoring us. The line started to build up so I jumped all over Myrna and told her to stop fixing a machine that no one was using to help us, the customers. Myrna and I didn't quite see eye to eye on certain things. For one, I thought she should do her job, and she didn't think so. To make a long story short, my pictures were not there and I got super mad at Myrna. To Myrna, I want to take the higher road and apologize for my comments and actions. I am sorry. I am so sorry that out of all the Wal-Marts in the world, you got stuck working at the absolute worst one. I am sorry that you didn't get the door greeter position that you originally applied for. I am sorry that your name is Myrna. Please accept my sincere apologies. I'll see you tomorrow when I pick up my photos.
