The Wheels on the Bus...

Mackenzie's first day of school
Waiting at the bus stop
Here comes the big yellow school bus (Mackenzie was so excited that she almost left without giving me a hug and telling me "bye".)

Good luck, Mackenzie! We're so proud of you! You'll do great!

Random thoughts from our trip to Montana

1. Uncle Max and Aunt Ruth have no more raspberries in their garden...my girls ate them all.

2. If there is a random pole in your basement living room, Mackenzie can and will climb it.

3. Going potty in the woods is quite difficult for little girls.

4. P-burg has an amazing candy shop. You've got to try the Raspberry & Cream fudge at the Sweet Palace.

5. Uncle Nathan has strong muscles.

6. Cousin Calli is completely nuts. But, who can't love a 2 year old that can bust out show tunes like that! "Tomorrow, Tomorrow...."

7. 5100 points is the world's record for a single round in Farkel. Record holder: Daniel Swensen

8. Luke is a loud eater.

9. Ryan's name is actually Ryan, though everyone calls him Nate.

10. Babies are always born when your mother is halfway across the country. Congrats Stacie!

11. World's greatest unsolved mystery: why children absolutely love bubblegum ice cream.

12. Dan in Real Life gets funnier everytime you watch it...."This corn is like an angel."

13. Smores are better with white marshmallows than with strawberry ones.

14. If there is grain of sand on the floor, Brooklyn will find a way to trip over it.

15. Never expect your kids to go to bed at a reasonable time when on vacation.
